Filip does Danish
Thank you Filip, my Sharepoint 2010 training course colleague, for a splendid translation of our favourite Banana-flavoured song into his mother-tongue, Danish.

Michal Polak provided us with a slovak translation of our favourite music hall song “yes we have no bananas”. He says “It’s not a word-for-word translation, the second part is more like ‘indeed, we have no bananas here today’ – but it just makes more sense in Slovak that way and moreover, it scans.”, which is all you [...]
Many thanks to Sookjin Ong for a Malay version of “Yes, We Have No Bananas”; one day we’ll have made it around the whole of South-East Asia!
MadJo says “The Dutch translation, while literally correct, doesn’t fit the rhythm of the song. A better translation would be from Yes, I have no bananas, I have no bananas today. And the Dutch lyrics to the whole song can be found here: http://www.stud.tue.nl/~demos/Bundel/banaan.html“. Thank you, MadJo, that does scan a lot better! You have single-handedly saved the lyrical [...]
My assistant Anuja has provided a viable phonetic Punjabi translation, and one day when we get one of the Punjabi phonetic entry tools for Windows to work properly, we may even display it in the correct character set.

Dan is the latest to contribute, with a Hebrew translation which, as Dan rightly points out, scans perfectly just like the English version. Could the Hebrew origins of the song’s writers (Cohn & Silver) [...]
Our Scandinavian language selection has expanded slightly thanks to Nick Hasselgreenand his Norwegian banana translation. If only there were a true Viking version too.
Brian Pitts has contributed the Esperanto translation, so now we have our favourite song lyric in the original unified Euro-language! Thanks Brian!
Thanks to Alex and Graham respectively, we now have Catalan and Finnishtranslations for our song’s main lyric. Are there any more translations out there?
